BGAM Young Drivers Programme

Be a better driver.

A fully funded advanced driving course for 17 to 25 year olds in the Scottish Borders.

Passing your test is the start of learning to drive well. This programme gives young drivers in the Borders the chance to build real skill and confidence behind the wheel, with friendly, experienced coaches and no course fee to pay.

Who it's for

This is a good fit for any young driver who wants to feel safer and more confident on the road. It's also a great thing to do for a son, daughter or grandchild. Parents are very welcome to apply on their behalf.

To apply, you need to be:

  • Aged 17 to 25 when you apply
  • Living in the Scottish Borders (you'll be asked for your postcode)
  • A full driving licence holder (a provisional licence isn't accepted)
  • Able to use your own car and insurance

This programme is for car drivers only.
